Thanks for wanting to join me in my space :)

As someone who travels a lot I strive to make this the type of experience I would want when working at a shop, so let me lay it all out for ya.

I ask that you respect the space, respect your clients, and have fun.

There is a form at the bottom of the page to fill out if you’re interested in working with me (mostly just dates/community guidelines)

location

My studio is in East Williamsburg, about two blocks from the Morgan L Train stop. So if you’re about the Airbnb lifestyle anything close to the L train route works well.

the address is 117 Grattan St.

The studio is located on the first floor and is wheel chair accessible.

There is a rather limited bodega across the street from the studio, but several more fully stocked bodegas and grocery stores within a 5 min walk radius. There are also Japanese, Italian, South American, Thai, Mediterranean, American, Ethiopian, and Mexican restaurants within a 5 min walk for tasty bites. ($10-20). That range opens up significantly when ordering delivery.

space

At any given time I’ll only have a maximum of two artists working in the space at a time. I personally only work Wednesdays - Saturday so if you’re wanting to work on any other day there’s a chance you’ll have the space to yourself.

On my working days I’m usually in the space from ~10 am - 8 pm. However you’ll be given a key and are welcome to come and go as you please :)

The client waiting area is separate from the tattooing space and has snacks, tea/coffee, and a microwave. Clients are welcome to use all of these. There’s also a separate mirror in the waiting area. I usually use that space for pre-tattoo consultations & such. The waiting area is also useful if someone needs privacy or to change. If there are multiple people in the studio they are also welcome to use the bathrooms around the corner or the supply space in the tattoo area.

The studio does have it’s own wifi that you can use.

There is a snack drawer that I keep stocked, this isn’t a meal drawer but for clients (or you) during long sessions/days.

your station

you’ll have your own Husky workstation that will come stocked with razors, dental bibs, tongue depressors, a&d, painter’s tape, medical tape, tegaderm, scissors, saran wrap, clip cord sleeves, green soap, bactine, 70% ISO, witch hazel, dial antibacterial soap, stencil stuff, liquid solidifier, rinse cups, Bounty paper towels, nitrile gloves (let me know if you need anything beyond S,M,L), dettol, and madicide.

one of the drawers also has all of my old leftover cartridges that I don’t use anymore. (08.3rl-12.25m1). You’re more than welcome to use them.

you’ll also have a massage table with folding back, ring light, trash can, and stool w/ upgraded casters.

you’re also more than welcome to ship supplies to the studio, let me know if you’ll be doing that so I can be on the lookout for them :)

all of the walls are blank white so you can just use your station ringlight and your wall for photos.

general supplies

There are refills for all of the supplies mentioned above.

Spirit stencil paper, 8.5x11 (purple & teal) 8.5x14 purple. Scotch tape, and slide paper cutters (for getting those nice straight cut lines).

I use a Brother PJ-663 Stencil printer. It has a USB-C plug. I’m more than happy to leave my computer in the studio if you need it to print from. The print flow that works best for me is drawing on my ipad, airdropping to the computer and printing from photoshop. I’d be more than happy to give you a quick walk through on how that works.

I also have a square reader that you’re welcome to use if you’re the square type.

There is a sink in the tattoo area, distilled water, sharps disposal, ipad holder (lmk if you’ll need it)

cut

crazy percentage cuts are my absolute least favorite thing in the world.

as such i’ll be doing 20% up to $100/day. You can do this using cash, card, or digitally beforehand. There is a small fee for using cards. Cuts can be done daily or at the end of your trip.

misc.

you’re more than welcome to put on your own music or ask me to change the music if I’m playing something you don’t jive with.

I do ask that you make an anonymous feedback form available to your clients. I’ll provide you with a link to the one I use. It’s important to me that if someone is in the space I’ve created that they have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience in that space. This can be given to them beforehand, via email, or as part of an aftercare sheet.

please let me know if you would like me to print out any aftercare or consent forms for you. You can just email them to me and I’ll have them ready for you when you arrive. You’re also more than welcome to use my consent forms (digital or physical).

I have a studio location page typed up that you’re more than welcome to share with your clients.

closing

Well I think that’s just about everything I can think of saying that needs to be said. Please let me know if you need clarification on anything or if you feel like there’s something I failed to mention/cover.

Also! No hard feelings if you want to spread the love during your trip. Traveling as a tattooer is a social experience and there are way too many excellent tattooers and shops in nyc, I totally get it :)

I look forward to working with you though!
