booking info

location

I currently live and work in Brooklyn, NY.

booking period

a typical booking period is the current and next month. For example, if it’s June I’ll probably be booking June and July, once July rolls around I’ll start booking July and August.

cancellations / rescheduling

please make sure your being careful when booking/picking a date!

when you book an appointment you are holding that spot, meaning no one else can book that spot. If you cancel/reschedule two weeks before you appointment I can honor your refund your deposit or transfer it over to your new appointment date. I’m able to do this because two weeks still gives me enough time to fill the now vacant appointment slot.

If you need to cancel/reschedule under two weeks from your appointment date I will not be able to refund your deposit and will ask you to book a new appointment. This is because I most likely will not be able to fill the now vacant appointment slot.

customs

for me customs are really just flash adjacent, location specific pieces. I’m not looking to do customs that live in a drastically different world from the type of flash I’m putting out.

I recognize that not every flash piece fits the space you’re wanting to feel or has the right vibe for every body. That is where customs come in as a space to combine ideas, create space specific pieces, or to make a variation of something already done.

I’m incredibly humbled that y’all want me to make markings to go on your body forever, but I’m also trying to make work that resonates and feels honest for my hands to create.

this policy primarily applies to forms of flash, as deposits for custom pieces are never refundable as they are more payment for drawing time than deposits for appointment times.

traveling

I tend to travel rather infrequently, when I do it’s usually to Chicago or Los Angeles.

If I am going to be traveling I generally make sure to announce it at least two months before the dates. When traveling there are certain appointment types I cannot do for the sake of time. Eye spy, flat rate, and intricate drawn the day of customs.

When booking for traveling I generally take requests until all appointment slots are filled. This does not mean that if you put in a request I’ll be able to do it, I fill appointment slots based on how well requests align with the type of work I’m looking to do, not based on when the request is submitted.

glossary of terms

please see the About page for a more general overview of the studios, what a typical tattoo session is like, or if you’re just curious :)

flash

anything that I’ve already drawn and published as an available design. small changes can sometimes be made to a flash piece to better accommodate the chosen space. oftentimes the red is very intentionally placed, if a flash piece is red & black it’s meant to be tattooed in red & black. If you’re uncertain about how a piece will look on your skin please let me know and I’d be happy to make a mock up with your skin tone :) a majority of my flash can be found here

flash appointments require a $50 deposit that goes toward the final cost of the tattoo. refundable up to 72hrs before appt.

flat rate

flash pieces that are offered at a discounted price with specific placement/size requirements.

flat rate appointments require a $50 deposit that goes toward the final cost of the tattoo. refundable up to two weeks before appt.

freehand

when a design is drawn using sharpies onto your skin and then tattooed. I will/can always provide reference images for the styles i’m thinking about using, and depending on the complexity of the piece I might also have a sketch or two as mockups. free handing is much more of a trust process as there are large portions of the tattoo which are not illustrated to completion beforehand. that being said, it also creates a wholly unique tattoo that is custom and perfectly fitted to it’s body placement. I personally find this style of working allows for a greater degree of freedom because I’m not working to emulate a drawing done in another medium, but rather just making a tattoo. please let me know if you have any other questions about the freehand process!

freehand appointments require a $50 deposit that goes toward the final cost of the tattoo. refundable up to 72hrs before appt.

eye spy

essentially a more personalized “cut and paste” method of figuring out a design. I have page devoted to this process here

eye spy appointments require a $50 deposit that goes toward the final cost of the tattoo. refundable up to two weeks before appt.

consultation

when we get together and discuss, sketch, and play with stencils. the goal of these sessions is to map out larger or long term compositions that are unique to you!

consultations do not require deposits but are done under the assumption of booking future tattoo appointments.

custom

custom pieces are for those of you who like my flash, but want something a little more suited to you, or with a slightly different variation. for instance - a text piece that occupies a specific space, or utilizes certain phrases. alternatively if i’ve done a tattoo before and you’d like something similar to it.

I would discourage you from asking for a custom piece if you already have a specific image in your head of what it’s going to look like. I can never compete with that image because it doesn’t actually exist. When you ask me to do a custom you’re asking me to run your idea through the filter of my mind and fingers, a process which I love and enjoy!

please keep in mind that there are a bajillion tattooers out there, and we’re all trying to hone our individual craft. it’s going to be on your body forever. I would strongly encourage you to do the research and find a maker whose work aligns to what you want in terms of themes, style, and message/intention. this always always always always leads to a much better experience all around.

please include all relevant information. diameter or length x width in inches, body placement, and any specific elements that are important to you. for instance once a text piece is done I can’t just go back and change the font without having to redraw the whole thing. if something like that is important to you, please mention it upfront.

custom pieces require a $75, non-refundable drawing fee. if I have to redraw the piece this drawing fee is applied again.

I love making custom pieces and a lot of my best work comes from the custom process, but because it is such an important process I have a lot to say about it.

retouch

retouches are always free! However, there is a difference between a retouch and an overhaul. Retouching is for fill that didn’t quite stick, lines that decided to get lost or definition/contrast that just forgot what it was supposed to be doing. Skin is a highly unpredictable medium, and us humans are not perfect, it’s not always going to be identical to the day it was done. That’s okay! It’s part of the beauty of tattooing. These little stickers grow with us, change, and adapt. Some settling will occur :)

Retouches are always done at a minimum three months after the original appointment to ensure that everything is decently well settled.
